Did a search for 'refactor* and pattern' using eSearch. It found 6 results on Business Source Premier (none new), 6 on Emerald (none useful), 1 on Science Direct (not useful), 43 on ISI Web (6 useful, added to bibliography), and 418 in the ACM Digital Library (not scanned yet).
The 6 new entries may have been found in my earlier searches as some of the titles seemed familiar but its hard to tell. I'm beginning to suspect that perhaps the searches I did before were not as unsuccessful as I thought.
