Started the Information Skills Tutorial and did the section on Searches. Will add a step to my literature search process to "Do a Mind Map of Search Terms" (I already have FreeMind setup from an earlier search for software).
Discovered the existence of eSearch Metalib which does searches across several databases at once. Tried a simple search but did not go into the details.
Had a look at the Oxford Reference Online (www.oxfordreference.com) and logged in via Athens. Will be a much better reference for terminology than what I used last time (Wikipedia).
Had a look at WebCT and the Research Skills Online course but didn't start the course yet. Needs to be done in Internet Explorer, not Firefox as my version is more recent than the one verified by BlackBoard.
Discovered that there are some useful paper references in the Park LC - Dictionary of Computing and Communications, and Encyclopaedia of Computer Science and Technology. Checked the LC Catalog (OPAC) to make sure they are there and available. Another source for definitions if necessary.
Started the process of downloading the Inter-Library Loans by downloading and installing Adobe Digital Editions (ADE). Downloaded the test document to verify that it is working.
